# My friend Tori (@tbirdtastic) was gifted a piece of art

My friend Tori ([@tbirdtastic](https://blog.novaugust.net/tag/tbirdtastic/)) was gifted a piece of art from her mom that hangs on her wall now. It's a little metal statue of a climber scaling straight up a thick rope. Laymen have many misperceptions about climbing, so it's nice to see they at least got that right.
