Jacksonia

Jacksonia

Yesterday, two days after my brace came off, which is coincidentally two days after my doctor told me it would be a very bad idea to go rock climbing, I went rock climbing.

Rodeo Wall, near Hoback Junction

Sam was kind enough to be my rope gun, and we put up three fun climbs, each around 5.9.

We spent the afternoon chatting with a large group from SLC, who apparently met at the "Very Good Looking People of SLC" meetup.

The sun was intense up until the very end, but my river sunhat kept me safe. The rock itself was somewhat bizarre. It had lots of tiny crimps and pinchers, except, the crimps weren't quite crimps. In some ways they reminded me of the cauliflower fossils you find on the limestone cliffs on Thailand.

Kelly Life

A few days ago, Sam had fun trying out his new camera on me while I coded in the twilight of the sun setting over the mountains.
