On our final day in Indian Creek, as the last residents of Superbowl, the @redgyps and I removed all the expired camping permits from their site posts and all the notes from friends looking for friends in the receptionless Creek off the board by the shitter, gave praise to the Creek and Allah, and burned them. We drove out on an empty road that felt doubly so after the influx of climbers the week before. At highway 191 he turned left and I, right.

I'm reminiscing over this at a hotel in Denver, freshly showered, shaved and in clean clothes. A few days here, then one last hurrah with my new community in Arizona before giving in to the inevitable and heading for Canada and skiing.
